New job plus baby on the way

I recently started a new job and I found out that you have to have worked for the company for at least 12 months in order to get maternity leave. I'm currently 3 months pregnant so what should I do? I'm not sure if I should just work until a week before the due date or if I should put in a two week notice before due date?
