Daughters second birthday idea?

So let me start off with IM COMPLETELY BROKE! like no money. I went big for her 1st birthday and did it on my own. I don’t wanna have a party for her second birthday which is August 27th . I just wanted to take her somewhere fun and get a small cake for her. But I’m also thinking about getting a kids tablet for her?? Something cheap around $30-50 ? Because she’s always asking for my phone to watch YouTube videos (Elmo, baby shark. Etc) or should I just wait to get her a tablet for Christmas ?

Shes barely 2, she dont need a tablet nor a iphone. She needs toys, babydolls, books, fun little baby games, maybe a baby bike, a learning movie.

She’s only gonna be two she’s won’t know any better. If you get a cake n sing happy birthday with your family I’m sure she will be happy.

I'm a firm believer that kids should grow up with toys that activate their imagination and improve cognitive functions, a tablet or phone does the opposite. Not judging, just my opinion. I'm so sorry you're broke, that must suck. It's another reason though supporting that you just get her something symbolic.  A cake can be home-baked with little ingredients and if you google dyi decorations, you'll find plenty of great ideas you can make out of basic things, like napkins, toilet rolls etc. Personally, my fondest childhood memories are of my mom making things for/with us, not buying us something.

Maybe have a picnic tor her with family
And a few friends and get her her cake. IMO 2 years old is waaaay too young for a tablet! She needs to stay a kid for as long as she can!! Good luck sorry your going through a hard time. Happy birthday to your little one ! ❤️

I wouldn't get a tablet for a toddler - there is a lot of research showing that it is not good for kids that young to have screen time at all. That's just my opinion, though. I would take her somewhere fun (maybe chuck e chesse or something like that?) And do a small cake.

She’s too young for a tablet especially if you’re not supervising the use. Meaning not sitting there with her watching it. Brain development is so much better when babies under 2 don’t look at screens. Take her somewhere fun instead.

Take her to a park for her birthday. Picnic lunch and a little cake. I’d skip the tablet. Maybe she would like a new doll or something of that sort.
