For those of you that have or have had tour belly buttons pierced how long did it take yours to heal? I’ve had mine pierced for about 4 months and it has puss in it and sometimes crustiness. Does it look infected? Any advice?

Keep in mind that there is a scar around it from where I had it pierced a time before I got it done this time. This is my second time getting it pierced.

it honestly looks infected. i got mine pierced a few months ago too and mine doesn’t look like that. everyone heals differently. you probably should be more intentional with the cleaning. if you don’t have the saline cleaner you can buy in the shops i would mix a little bit of salt and like warm water in
a small cup and then let it sit over your piercing for a few minutes and the wipe well with a q tip. make sure you aren’t putting your hands on your piercing. if it doesn’t get better or gets worse, see a dr.

Looks like it could be starting to get infected. Rubbing alcohol on a q-tip will help tremendously. I got mine done at 16 & from what I remember it took quite a few months for it to heal & I had many episodes of redness/drainage before it healed completely.
