How often should you go? Why and what do the do?

Answer

You should go every year once you’re sexually active or 21 (which ever comes first) for a Pap smear to check for cervical cancer and an exam to check your other reproductive organs/general health. They do a pelvic exam to make sure your uterus and ovaries feel the right size and shape with no masses or other abnormalities. They may also do a breast exam to check for lumps or other issues such as dense tissue. Mine also checks my thyroid.

Answer

If your pregnant or have any issues with your period is pains in between them. 
If your pregnant it depends how often you go 
For anyone else it’s like a yearly appointment for your Pap smear 
You can go in and talk about / get on birth control as well, unless there is an issues there really isn’t a reason to go more than once a year
