Progesterone + rash??

Question

Hi ladies. Been taking progesterone suppositories for 5 nights now. Starting last evening I’ve had incredible itchy skin - hands, torso, etc. Skin is red but I don’t know if it’s actually a rash or just red from me scratching so much. Anyone know if this is a side effect or if I’m working on a totally separate issue?!

Little frustrating - one pharmacist said it’s a common side effect and most women notice it dissipates after a few days and to take Benadryl if needed. Another pharmacist chimed in and said to talk to the doctor about continuing... so now it’s after hours and I’m not sure if I should take this evening!! The itching is annoying but I can deal. I’m more concerned should it escalate and cause issues with breathing or something. Anyone have experiences or thoughts?!

It’s a side effect but tell your doctor bc he might mess with your dose or give you something else
