No intimacy ??

Question

Hi everyone! My husband and I have not been intimate since baby has been born (she’s 6 weeks). I understand we can’t have sex yet however, there’s other things you can do to be intimate. 
It kind of upsets me. 
Is this something other couples are experiencing? Or should I be concerned? 
Just curious to see how the other couples are doing out there lol

DH and I haven't been intimate in months. This happens in all my pregnancies, and then the intimacy slowly comes back. I sometimes wish we were more cuddly in general during this time, but it's just not a priority right now, and like I said, it comes back.

We try to sot together for a tv show after our toddler goes to bed. Short back rubs. Things like that. I’m almost 5 weeks pp, 2nd degree tear and hubby knows even if I’m cleared at 6 weeks we likely won’t have sex for a bit still

I make sure to make intimacy (without sex). I read so much research which shows that a baby negatively impacts a marriage that I'm trying to be proactive about it.

Have you tried talking to him about it? Also were you guys very intimate before baby? My husband has been extra lovely/touchy since she was born (just got cleared last week at 5 weeks also) but he's always been kinda hands on😅

I can relate. No intimacy here whatsoever. No hugs, kisses or anything. I did talk to him about it and he said I was being dramatic which made more upset. I’ve been told by friends that that’s how most men act after post partum but they will get over it .
