Tubes tied?

Question

My doctor mentioned tying my tubes after this pregnancy since I am having a c-section. I would love to hear some others thoughts on this, are you doing it and if so why? If you are not, why?

My husband will be getting snipped. It’s a walk out procedure for them and can be “easily” reversed compared to what us women have to go through.

I am done with kids but my husband is worried about complications.  He thinks a vasectomy is less risky and fully willing to do it.

I'm currently carrying #6 I'm done. I'm too fertile and I won't poison my body with birth control for the rest of my life so it has to be done. My husband certainly doesn't want baby #7.

This is my second baby girl and I am 33. Hubby is 100% sure he doesn’t want more kids. I on the other hand am still hoping for a little boy but I know there is no guarantee that the third one would be a boy so I guess it’s best if I get them tied. Doctor wants me to be 100% sure!

I’m only 22 and this will be my second baby, and asked my doctor if I could tie my tubes and was told it’s up to me but to be sure. I definitely am... I have my boy and girl, I don’t want anymore kids.

This is our 5th (2nd girl) and my husband refuses to get sniped 🙄 so I will be getting my tubes tied. I have to wait until after I give birth and heal though because I am delivering at a catholic hospital and she can't tie tubes there. I am plenty happy to get it done!

I would never do this. I was a mother’s helper for a whole summer for a lady who was recovering from this, and it was so hard for her and so sad for her baby. She never held him because she couldn’t lift anything, so she didn’t breastfeed him either. He just layed in his swing all day every day and got formula. She was so sore and overwhelmed. Why can’t the hubby get snipped? It’s a much less invasive procedure for them and quick recovery time. It’s actually *the least* they could do in the reproductive equation.
