Blood Gender test?

My dr said I could get my gender test along with the chromosome check in 2 weeks. I was wondering if anyone has gotten it down before. How long did it take for results to come in? With my first I didn’t have the option to do blood work for gender I ended up just waiting until my ultrasound at around 15w. I’m so nervous my SIL wants to host a gender reveal and i don’t want to have to wait too long after the results are in to know. 😩

I had the harmony test done at 10 weeks with my last pregnancy. It was actually really cool. I sat with a women who specializes in chromosome abnormalities and the way it's shown is very interesting. She broke down everything, what they are checking for and what each thing means. I personally found it to be very educational. I love anything medical though, it's my specialty. Anyways...I went in on a Friday. She gave me the box with vile inside to take down to the lab. You do the draw and they send it out quick. I called the office that following Monday morning and she already had the results. They say it can take up to two weeks. In my case, it didn't. It took a weekend. My insurance did cover it. Once you hit a certain age it becomes a different story. I was 35 at the time.

My dr said 10 days. Last time it was a day or two before the 10 day mark. I’m getting the bloodwork done on the 29th. Can’t wait.

I had the nipt test done, it might be called Materniti, and I got it done Monday and got a call Friday. However, I think it can take 7-10 business days. Also, I was able to go in anytime after 9 weeks, which is different than my last pregnancy, when they said 10 weeks.

Depends on which company you use, but I’ve gotten result within 2 weeks for both my older kids and just had blood drawn today for my 3rd.  I want it more for genetics than gender, but it’s nice to find out early!  Most insurances will not pay for it, but most of the companies offer a cash pay price (around $300) if you call them.
