Should I call OB?

I had my cervix this morning at 10 AM. I was having strong contractions all day yesterday and they got strong at night but eventually they stopped. At my OB appointment they stuck her finger in to see if I was dilated any and she said I'm 1 1/2 cm dilated and 70% thinned out. She said I might have some spotting after this. It this the spotting she is talking about? Can it happen 6 hours later? Iv went pee many times since then. I just want to make sure this is from getting my cervix checked and not something to do with labor. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow?
