What should I do?

Okay guys, so I’m sorry that I post a lot, I just have a lot of questions and not many people to ask. So my son has started crawling, and getting into EVERYTHING. My parents (who I live with until I move out) REFUSE to baby proof. At first I didn’t think much of it, because we are moving soon, so I asked my mom if we are going to baby proof the new house. She told me no because she doesn’t want gates and other unnecessary items in her new house. That he’s not her baby so it’s not her problem. I can’t afford to move out yet. Am I over reacting for freaking out that my parents refuse to baby proof? They baby-proofed when my brother sister and I were babies. Any advice on how I should handle this? Having the house not baby proofed freaks me out.
