Preeclampsia 22 weeks 3 days

So i went to my dr for swelling and bp today. She told me i am in the beginning stages of developing preeclampsia. She said it could be a week or 2 months before things worsen, there is no way to know. She said our goal now is to get to 34 weeks. Any advice? Should i go ahead and have our baby shower just in case? Should i be prepping for emergency hospital stays? I had it with my last baby but they didnt catch it until i had her and said i had it for at least 2 weeks before that, so i dont actually know when it started. I was also in slow labor for 2 weeks with my last.
