What to eat 🤔

Hey ladies, I’m being induced at 6:30am tomorrow but was told to eat light today and the morning of. I’m not sure what meal options are considered “eating light”. Has anyone been induced this month? What did you eat?

I say screw that!! Eat allll the carbs and protein. I couldn’t even tell you all the things I ate before my induction last week. 😆 Labor is exhausting!

I’m in L&D now being induced. I had pancakes, an egg, and bacon. I didn’t think they’d let me eat now that I’m here but they told me I can eat another meal before the labor begins!

Definitely eat a hearty meal. My first took 20+ hours and I was not prepared for the extreme hunger. Eat protein and complex carbs. Try eggs, chicken, sweet potato... etc.

I went out for breakfast. Omelette and cinnamon roll. I was stuffed after this and it held me over. Once you are in the hospital they will only allow clear liquids.

I'm not being induced (yet) but when my doctor was talking about what foods to eat in early labor I was told nothing I love in case I end up throwing it up and nothing heavy like fast food. Recommended toast, soup, pudding, etc. Basically recovering from the flu food.

The nurse told me to eat something with complex carbs and protein like a breakfast sandwich.

I think it just means nothing heavy. Like. Full course meal type foods. No like chili. Or big bowls of pasta. Or sushi. 
Just eat things like salad or fruit. Small portions of chicken. Fish. Things like that. But I’m sure you could call them and ask specifically if there are foods you cannot eat.

I don’t know - they didn’t tell me that before mine - I would avoid spicy food, stuff that is heavy like chilli or food that you love but maybe doesn’t super agree with you - before mine I had a clubhouse sandwich for lunch, homemade pizza for dinner and I don’t remember if I ate the morning when I went to the hospital - maybe a banana and tea?
