Is it okay to wait for my first ultrasound?

We are 5+3 today with what I am desperately hoping is our rainbow baby. We had three ultrasounds before we lost our last baby at eight weeks. I want to do my first ultrasound when there will definitely be a heartbeat-i cannot go through several, seeing my baby and then having them tell me there is no heartbeat. Would it be okay to wait to tell my doctor at seven weeks? Or am I being stupid?

idk if this is true but i feel like if i never got an ultrasound at 6 weeks i would still been pregnant with my rainbow.  everything was fine then start bleeding after ultrasound.  getting teary writing this

I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks 5 days and saw a HB. Unfortunately my pregnancy ended in a MMC so I know the heartbreak of being told they can’t find the heartbeat 💔

I had the same situation with my first miscarriage - it was a missed miscarriage and I went in at 4,6,8 just to learn that I was miscarrying.
I am being seen by a fertility center doctor right now. She offered to see me at 6 weeks, but said she would wait until 7 so we can make sure we actually can see something one way or the other.
It sucks to wait, but my husband and I agree that we can’t go to another ultrasound where they say “we can’t see anything, but it might be okay...” the uncertainty is too much and anxiety is the worst thing for us right now. Wishing you the best! ♥️♥️
