For my GD/overweight pregnant ladies...
Do you have a diet plan yet? If so are you happy with it and will you continue after delivery? Before I got my diet plan I was reluctant to completely eliminating the things I knew would raise my blood sugar. I had lemonade every other day, cookies some days but I never over did it. When I saw the dietitian I had a change of heart. I hated my diet plan at first but I didn't break it's been two weeks I'm used to it and I've lost 10 lbs. Everything turned out so well that I've decided to keep it going after I deliver until I reach my goal of 145 lbs, currently 221. When I was told I had GD I felt defeated and stressed this is my second high risk pregnancy and the fear of the unknown left my spirits low but it turned out to be the wake up call I needed. I no longer dread looking at the scale!
