i don’t usually take it but now i’m worried it’s like the actual birth control pills and not just to help u stay on track?

Theres a brand that has iron in the placebo pills. So if you're on that one you do need to take it but otherwise, no. Placebo pills are just reminder pills

I didn't take them because my period cramps are so bad but I've been having spotting for 2 weeks and it's brown. The pharmacy said it's because I don't take the placebo pills and so did my ob-gyn. If you don't take them and continue skipping your period like I did, you'll have continuous breakthrough bleeding. I also had cramps with them. It's getting better now but it takes some time for it to regulate again I guess. I'm switching to the mirena iud to stop my periods.

for mine, my doctor said i can skip them but allow myself to have a period every 3-4 months. But i have sex on my period so i don’t want to take placebos!!😂
