STM - How unfeeling about becoming family of 4?!

Hi mommas! I’m being induced tomorrow at 8am and am having so much anxiety, guilt, nervousness about having my second son. My 1st is 4 1/2 and so excited to be a big brother but I almost feel like I’m in mourning of our little family of three. I know I will fall in love with this babe, just having a hard time adjusting to the fact that there will be another one here tomorrow. Any other mommas feel this way??

Yesss!!!! We fought so hard to have our daughter we have now. Took us 5 years and many fertility drugs. And she’s only 1 1/2 now. She’s absolutely AMAZING! I am so scared I won’t love this baby as much as her. Or my first born won’t get enough attention because of the baby. 
It’s already hard enough going places with one kid by myself, I can’t believe I’m adding another.. so I feel you 1000%. I just try not to think about it and think to myself many people do it

This reaction is really normal. You are mourning what was right now, but will be consumed by what is soon. My second is just over two weeks old, and now it’s hard to imagine her not being with us.

I had soooo much guilt when I had my second when my first was only 17 months old. He was mad at me and baby for some time, but it got better.  Now they are almost 4 and 2.5, and they are partners in crime. They adore each other (when they aren’t killing each other... brothers 🙄). And my oldest still loves me. The transition phase is hard for everyone, but just remember to try to take it easy on yourself. There is nothing more special than growing up with siblings. It’s hard in the beginning, but you are giving them a special gift, a partner in crime, a built in friend for life.

My daughter is 3 and I am being induced on Monday if my little boy doesn’t come before then. I have been really emotional lately about our lives changing. I feel such a mixture of emotions, I am so excited but I am feeling so sad for my little girls life to change so much. She is such a mamas girl and will have a hard time letting her brother have the attention all the time. 🤞🤞 that it’s a better outcome than we are all expecting.
