Strep B positive 😭

Today I got the news that my Strep B test came back positive and that I would have to stay in the hospital with baby for 2 days after delivery so she can be monitored to make sure she doesn’t develop pneumonia, sepsis or any other type of respiratory infection. I need to get to the hospital in time for them to administer preferably 2 rounds of IV antibiotics before her arrival.... which may be an issue as this is my 2nd child and my first labor was only 8 hours and they say the 2nd comes faster 😳. I’m also concerned about my 21 month old. I’ve never been away from her and it’s breaking my heart. Not to mention I absolutely hate being in the hospital. Last time I was out less than 24 hrs after delivery. My midwife tried assuring me with her own experience of being positive with her first, but it’s still a scary thing. Anyone else test positive?
