My daughter (3) came home from her dad's saying he bought her a booster seat for the car. She's still 5lbs under the weight limit and WAY too short for the belt to fit properly. My 5yr old said he sometimes let's her go WITHOUT ANY SEAT AT ALL. He's got tinted windows so I'm thinking this is how he hasn't been pulled over yet??? The law where I am is 40lbs for a booster and 80lbs for no seat, my 5 yr old is 42lbs.

What can I do? I've got no proof other than the words of my kids.

I know he knows the laws of carseats because his mom is a child welfare worker. So he's just being lazy and not wanting to do the 5 point harness.

I have a restraining order against him for assault, we can't contact eachother directly. He has family pick up for visitation and they always have the correct seats. Confronting him he would just lie.

Can I call child services? Would they even investigate or would I look like a batshit crazy ex?
