While on my babymoon in Hawaii I stupidly tripped over a root while walking one evening and fell flat out. I blocked most of the impact with my hand and arm, so didn’t land super hard but it definitely scared me. I popped right back up, and had no pain or cramping or anything. Baby was still moving as usual but I called my OBs office and they said as a precaution to go to the local hospital and get checked.

The L&D team was amazing and got me checked in and monitored baby and for contractions for a couple hours and he was doing his usual nightly dance party and heartbeat was perfect. No contractions and was sent home all clear.

Definitely scared me and threw a kink in the evenings plans! But so grateful for quick responses from healthcare providers and a strong bod keeping this baby boy cushioned and safe.

Anyone else have a fall or weird accident during pregnancy??
