Infertile at a young age?

Question

I know I am young, I’m only 21 and so is my fiancé. We’ve had unprotected sex the past now 4 months and nothing.
About 6 months ago I had a miscarriage very early on, and ever since then I just have had a feeling that I can not carry. 
Should I see a specialist about my concerns or am I too young to worry? 
Thinking about this and the possibility of being infertile kills me because I’ve never wanted anything more in life than to be a mom.

I was 21 and my fiancé was 34 at the time. We were trying to conceive but after realizing that we have had unprotected sex for about a year and me stopping birth control, I became concerned. I set up an appointment with an OBGYN and we discovered that I have PCOS. Doc put me on meds and it took us 5 months to conceive. Now I’m miserable at 35 weeks pregnant lol. 
Even though you might not be trying to have a baby at this point in your life, it’s still good to know how your reproductive health is...especially when you are concerned. I would support your decision to get checked out 😊

It's been four months of unprotected sex. It can easily take a healthy couple more than a year TTC.
But if you're worried, you can always go see a doctor. Just keep in mind that four months of unprotected sex is by no means an indicator of you being infertile.

Fertility is such a weird thing as no one knows how fertile they are until they start trying. 
Just the fact that you’ve got pregnant is a good sign that you’re ovulating and your partner isn’t shooting blanks. I know miscarriage is devastating but unfortunately it isn’t all that uncommon and happens to a lot more couples than people realise. Chances are though, you’ll get pregnant again and have a baby! Doctors will only really look into the causes of miscarriage if they are recurrent and you’ve had multiple. 
Also, try to remember that it can take a healthy couple 12 months to conceive. You’re worrying is actually going to be counterproductive and might make things harder so just try to enjoy the process for now!

I thought I had fertility issues go so long. My partner and I have been together for 15 years- having unprotected sex most of that time. About 6 years in we had a miscarriage. For the last 7 years we actively tried to conceive- and had another loss. We both got checked out by the dr- ultrasound/ sperm analysis. Made a bunch of lifestyle changes. Did ovulation tests. I was also prescribed a round a clomid and then conceived my daughter. She is now 14 months old. I’m also 34 weeks currently and

I was 21, TTC with my husband for over a year and a half. We were getting frustrated, and both got checked out. Nothing came of it, really. Well, after a year and a half, we are now expecting! 31 weeks with our little baby boy :)

Sometimes it takes one time only, other times it takes a while. 
I'd get checked out, personally, because once something gets in my head it won't leave unless I know

4 months isnt that long. You shouldnt get concerned unless it's been a year. It took me 7 months to have my second and that was with using ovulation test and vitamins.

It can take completely healthy couples a year of exclusively trying, before getting pregnant.
If you’re not actually trying (tracking ovulation, having sex on peak days), then your chance is lower than usual. It’s actually surprising how low of a chance there is to get pregnant each month.
