Periods post lap?

I got my first period after laproscopy but they are heavier than usual. Today is the 6th day and I am still bleeding. Is it common after lap? Or should I see my doctor?

Usually everyone’s first cycle is messy, depending on the lap it’s probably just your body trying to get back to normal. If your concerned contact your doctor but I think your just fine

Everyone’s first period after their lap is different but if you’re concerned i would call your doctor. Mine was 4 days after my surgery so I had more bleeding than what I was used to and my period did last a few days longer than normal.
