I’m really at a loss right now. So I started working at this salon as a barber(I’m a licensed barber), well it was shitty there and they were taking a lot of money from us. We had the opportunity to open our own salon and chair rent. I’m still building my clientele just being new and I don’t live in the town I work at so I don’t know anyone really. We’ve had the salon open for about 3 months. Business is still really slow for me so I had to get a part time job serving/bartending. My boyfriend and I are ready to get another house and start trying for another baby. He makes good money but I definitely need to work to help with bills. But it’s hard not making anything at my job at the salon. It’s also very convenient with my job since I can make my own schedule and like now the babysitter couldn’t make it so it’s not big deal if I end up staying home. And obviously daycare is not easy to find and just crazy expensive. But I’m just wondering if I try to stay at my job at the salon and hope business gets better or work full time somewhere else? We have done everything to promote ourselves and in two weeks we are going to have a grand opening. But the other problem I have is I’m not where I’d like to be in my career skill wise so I feel it’ll be hard finding another place and because I sometimes take a while with cuts because I’m trying to make sure they’re right. I like what I’m doing and I know I want to do something in the beauty industry but I’m just lost on where to go from here..
