Absolutely not I work at a pediatric office and our doctors never recommend water before 6 months as it can turn very easily into water intoxication that is why you must always make sure if using formula that it is consistent to what the package reads per that formula

My pediatrician recommended 3oz of water for my son when he was 5 weeks due to his consistent projectile vomiting in hopes that “it would clear out his system”. It worked wonders. He’s 8 weeks now and hasn’t thrown up since then.
