Hey everyone. I had my 3rd ultrasound today (1st was the dating US at 5 weeks, then a follow up at 6w6d) then one today because the US tech couldn’t detect a heartbeat at the follow up. So I had one today with my usual dr and he found the baby right away thru an abdominal US. but couldn’t detect the heartbeat, so he did the vaginal one and found the baby right away but still no heartbeat. He isn’t a specialist at it so he said he might just not be looking right or it’s because my uterus is tilted backwards, making it harder to detect. The baby measured a week bigger from the follow up appointment so he isn’t concerned, just wants me to go back in a week to try find the heartbeat and make sure the baby is growing properly :)

Anyone else not able to find the heartbeat right away???
