medroxyprogesterone false test?

I hadn’t gotten my period for 3 months so my doctor had me take a blood test, which came back negative. She put me on medroxyprogesterone to start my period. Took the meds for 10 day, nothing. This day 2 years ago I found out I was pregnant with my first, so decided to take a test and got a very very dark positive. Could this be a false positive?

According to google it should not cause a false positive but i would definitely make a drs appointment ASAP

I’ve never heard of that type of medicine, but if it causes false positives on pregnancy tests then yes, that would be false. If it doesn’t contain hcg then I’m guessing that is a real positive. Only your doctor can tell you the right answer! Good luck

Definitely a positive. Shouldn’t be a false positive. When you had your blood test it could have been too early. Please contact your doctor immediately.

I got pregnant after a cycle of provera sooooo you could definitely be pregnant. I did have a period from it though then got pregnant when I was previously wasn’t ovulating.
