So for awhile I've wanted to get on birth control to help with my hormonal acne (and now I'm seeing a dude and aunt flow kinda needs to stop cock blocking me). I grew up in the catholic school system and know nothing about birth control other than what my friends have told me (pretty much no period and helps with acne).

I want to know if there are things that dont make it work, how many types are there, etc. Please give me all your knowledge my sex ed growing up was essentially nonexistent.
