Do you have herpes? If so how did you find out?

I have this situation where I had like a pimple down there and now it has popped and I go back to the doctor on Monday for tests to see if it’s herpes. I wanted to know the stories of someone who does have it and how they found out. Thank you so much you don’t know how much you’re helping me by sharing your story!
