Any boy moms have suggestions?

My son is 3. I am trying to get him used to wear underwear... He hates to wear it because they're itchy... He likes the feel of pull-ups instead. 
I need HELP! What's worked with your son? We are also training and he's being a royal pain.

I let my son pick his own out that had characters so that he would be excited about wearing them.

Hi what brand of underwear have you used I found with my son I had to use a more expensive softer pair
