Placenta accreta?

Has anyone had placenta accreta and not needed a hysterectomy? Found out at my 6 week postpartum appointment that I have a retained placenta that's potentially an accreta (placenta that grew into the uterus deeper than it's supposed to) I have an appointment next week with a specialist for a repeat ultrasound and to discuss his plan

I have accreta now and am planning c section with a specialist to try and save it. I know alot of women that have had medications that can help with the retained placenta (antibiotics, methotrexate,  etc) good luck! Im so upset and terrified that they will not be able to remove without doing a hysterectomy.  It's a scary diagnosis for those of us that want more children

You can discuss a D&C or just waiting to see if your body will eventually reabsorbed it. I had a 3-day with my last pregnancy but I did have a hysterectomy. I have seen women in my accreta groups though that we're able to keep their uterus, even with retained placenta
