When did you start reading/singing to your baby?

I feel so awkward reading amd singing to baby when im alone. I have no problem talking to my 8 week old though.

I sang to baby ALLL the time when I was pregnant, and I’m so glad I did because even though I suck at signing he would pass out as soon as i started. now all the songs I sang pregnant  (the same like 5 songs) still soothe him to this day, two and a half years later.

My fiancé reads him stories at night as well as scripture from the Bible every night and I sing to him as well as his daddy too lol

I sang to my little girl while she was in utero and and am still singing to her constantly. I’ll sing random things when we’re changing her diaper and in the bath and in the car. At 4 months is when I started incorporating books into our nighttime routine.

Oh wait I clicked newborn but then remembered I definitely sang a lot in the car and shower and stuff like that. She would only sleep with me singing sometimes, so it definitely gets through. If you don't like to sing or read alone though, she hears your voice all the time! No worries mama.

I sang to her utero some, but once she was born I sang and read to her constantly. My parents read to me tons and I definitely believe it helped me throughout my life. The thirty million word gap is real.

I’m a teacher so the baby gets to hear me read several books a day ☺️

I bought a book for 25cents at the library and it was a dr Seuss book meant to be read in utero. We read that to our daughter starting around the time I was 8 weeks 😊 and now she’s 14 months old and we have always tried to read 2-3 books every night as art of our bedtime routine. I’m also currently 34 weeks so he’s been read to the whole pregnancy basically 💕
