What are some good phones for a preteen/teen?

Im thinking bout getting my daughter a phone she’s almost 11 and i want something up to date but not the latest phone. I’m going to buy a used one any suggestions?

My daughter is 12 and is on her 3rd phone in 2 years due to breaking them so I'd say something low price.

My girls are almost 10 & 12. I originally got them a kyrocera from ATT- they were $30 smart phones. They could connect to WiFi,
And if they wanted to call/text it was $2/day. This worked out perfect for going to dads house or a sleepover. Yes they were slower but they served the purpose 🤷🏼‍♀️. They now have iPhones only bc they are mine and my husband’s old phones.

I didn’t get my first smart phone into I was freshmen in high school. It’s was a iPhone 4 . I had a slide phone when I was in middle school.  I’m 23 now and I pay for my iPhone 8 Plus.

$100 phones for a teenager? I wish I would! My kids get $25 prepaid phones. Period. My son had to work his way to to a pseudo smart phone when he turned 18, and even THAT phone has maybe $30. He got a smartphone at 20- 21, since he was still in my house. There is too much they can get into on a smartphone, and they break/lose things all the time. They can get their own jobs and pay for that nonsense!

If you’re into iPhones then maybe an iPhone7. They aren’t the newest or the oldest so it’s a good middle one. Just get her a good case to go with it!
