My son is 6 months old. He weighed 5lbs 8oz when he was born full term. He now weighs 14lbs 3oz as of Wednesday during his 6 month appointment. In the past week he has dramatically decreased the amount he is drinking. He would usually drink 5oz each time. He has had a difficult time moving his bowels. The doctor put him on a laxative which he has used for 2 days. Not much has happened but now he went from 21oz yesterday in a 24 hour period to 15oz in a 24 hour period. I'm so scared because he isn't drinking nearly enough to stay hydrated let alone gain weight. Any advice? This mama is so nervous and scared for her baby boy.
