My baby has heart tumours ☹️

Sh

Long post warning

In less then a week everything has changed. I’ve gone from having a low risk pregnancy of my rainbow baby to an uncertain future. I had a routine growth scan as I was measuring small. The growth was fine but the technician said she could see something on the heart and wanted to refer me to Fetal health. Two days later I was scanned by a fetal medial consultant who confirmed their was not one but multiple masses on the babies heart, which she said can be a number of different tumour types. So I was sent to The specialist hospital the next morning to be scanned again by a cardiologist and another Fetal medial consultant. They have confirmed the baby has tumours throughout the heart.

Miraculously despite the size of the largest being over 1cm they are not affecting the heart at present. However their other concern is these types of tumours are commonly associated with the genetic condition tuberous sclerosis. So I am to be seen by a genetic consultant on Tuesday with mentions of a amniocentesis. In the mean time the cardiologist has booked an appointment for a few weeks time to monitor the tumours. I don't really know what I want to gain from this post other then just to write it all down to get it all out and maybe their might be someone on here who can relate to this is some way. Thank you for reading if you got this far.
