Who has eaten deli meat without heating it up first while pregnant? (Listeria warning)

The chances of getting listeria from deli meat are pretty much non existent. Unwashed fruits and veggies are the risk now.

My doctor actually told me it’s fine to eat  deli meat packaged in a sanitary way meaning in the factory. But not ones they cut right in front of you at the counter or ones from sandwich shops which all could have been improperly stored.

Never heard of contracting a disease from it 😂 I eat it cold all the time, not pregnant.

Maybe I’m not one to care about all that stuff but I have never warmed any lunch meat up an I’ve drank milk out my husband milk tanks from the barn his parents own 🤷🏼‍♀️ I mean the cows are organic and I know how clean we keep stuff and I’ve never had problems so

My mom works in infectious disease. Its routinely on her desk so shes always warning me. The risk is low, but still there. Once on awile would probably be ok from a reputable clean deli. But not something id do regularly.

My husband’s mom said when she was pregnant with him all she ate everyday was deli salami. Same with my sister.
