Letting my 4 year old cry it out....
So I'm currently sitting in my bedroom crying... I'm so tired and just don't know what to do... My 4 year old son is currently in his bed in his own room screaming and crying because he wants to sleep in the bed with me. My husband (his dad) works night shift now. I don't want to share a bed anymore with our son. I don't know what to do anymore... Could anyone please give me some advice... I have tried everything the chart idea, reading to him, starting in the room with him, warm bath before bed. He had VERY bad separation anxiety I believe but I'm not sure I'm taking him to the doctor tomorrow but I'm afraid they will put him on anxiety medication.. PLEASE help. 😞
UPDATE: so I finally broke down and we took him to the doctor. The doctor said or son does have separation anxiety and the only thing to do is to let him cry it out. No medication at all. He said to get our son out of our bed now at a young age because if not he might never get out of our bed. The doctor said he has a bunch of patients now a days that are 12 and 13 and STILL sleep with their parents.... So I'm going to tough it out and make him sleep alone. Thank you everyone for the support!!
