Anyone else stopping the swaddle currently?

Good lord help make me not cave in and wrap him up... sleeping is tough without it! 24 hours in. 🙏😬😱

Stick in there hun. I just wrote this on a different post, but, I would rather wake up ten times in the night, every night to an unsettled baby... Well I won't finish that sentence but you get the point. I know it's tough, hang in there and hopefully babe will get used to it soon xx

Thanks mamas! So helpful to read these. Sleeping ok now but naps yikes. I might go to one arm in tomorrow if need be... or stroller nap! 🙌🏻😵

Yup! She can roll onto her belly in it so I knew it was time to get rid of it for good... I’ve been postponing it because I knew it was going to be a nightmare and it totally is. I want to cry, she’s been waking up every 30 minutes to an hour every night for over a week and I am so exhausted!

We did it gradually over like a month and a half. We did one arm out for about 3 weeks and then the second arm. Literally not one issue with doing it gradually. And my son LOVED the swaddle. Still sleeps 11 hours a night.

I only swaddled for naps when he’s been sick or super grumpy just for extra comfort. He sleeps beside me at night and still wakes up a few times but slowly getting better

We had to stop Friday when my little guy rolled back to front out of nowhere! We opted to go cold turkey and he has done great at night, hasn’t changed much at all, but naps are a totally different story! He’s fought naps since he was about 6 weeks old, but we’d developed a decent routine of swaddling him, rocking him for 5-10 minutes while he fell asleep and then transferring him to his crib, but without the swaddle the transfer has become impossible! I think he is so cozy and warm in our arms and when we lay him down he’s just too free, and it wakes him up every. single. time! I caved and put him in a swaddle for his third nap today (and watched him on the monitor) so he could get some sleep!

Our baby wouldn't sleep unless swaddled and then started rolling over. So I knew we had to do something. Realized he's a tummy sleeper. Which I know isn't the safest, but when he keeps rolling himself over, what am I to do? So I just got the owlet sock and baby monitor for the extra peace of mind.
