Winnie the Pooh Nursery ❤️
So less than 4 weeks out from the little one arriving and I am feeling so much calmer having the nursery ready even though she will spend nights in my bedroom with me and my husband.
Only thing left is to install the baby camera/monitor 😊
The space itself is very tiny... more like an oversized closet or small office area- we moved a couple months ago into historic housing on a military post, so there are some few eccentricities we had to work around.
The curtains and crib skirt, I made from the same yellow fabric that has a honeycomb type pattern on it.
The furniture is all solid wood, but unfinished so that it mirrors the 100 Acre Woods theme. (Plus from IKEA so saved a bunch of money! And if we want to stain or paint it later then that is super easy and affordable!)
We splurged on the Rocker/Recliner from Laz-E-Boy, and my husband has already claimed it for post nursery haha 😆
The dresser holds the diaper supplies, disposable diapers (for newborn stage), and cloth diapers, most clothing for 0-3 months right now, and extra bedding and linens.
Tried to keep the room as gender neutral as possible so we can repurpose everything if we decide to have a second child.
Because of the small space we didn’t have room for a full book shelf, so I grabbed a few wood crates and used that as a place for her first books... also able to be repurposed/painted later!
Also bins of larger clothing (separated and organized by size!) are under the crib, hidden by the bedskirt)
The prints are from the original old school Winnie the Pooh stories 😍 my sister gifted them to me after using them to decorate at the shower. Same with the original style stuffed animals in the first picture.
Excuse the mess on top of the shelving unit 😂 it will be cleared off soon! The buckets hold toys and nursing/pump supplies.
Bow holder made from a piece of wooden trellis with dresser knobs super glued on.
And the wet bags for cloth diapers (we are planning on disposable for the newborn stage, and then transitioning to cloth except when traveling).
