When did your baby start wearing 3-6 months and 6-9 months? (8 pound new born)

My son is 2 weeks old now. Wearing 0-3/3 months clothes. Some are a little big but newborn size was too small. 
I don't have that many 3-6 month or 6-9 month clothes but a BUNCH of 0-3 lol. I need to start buying sizes up now. But I'm wondering what I need more of and if I need warmer clothes in 3-6 or 6-9 for the winter... Its only July now but I have no idea how fast he will grow out of the 0-3 month clothes. 
He was also born 21 inches. So pretty long.

My guy is 8 weeks and was born 8.5lbs and he's SO thick now. He fit in newborn clothes for about 3 weeks! Mostly he outgrew the head opening. We're in 0-3 onesies now and some look like muscle shirts and some fit really well, but all of his overalls are giant still and the shorts make him look like he has a muffin over them. my son was 20 inches long when born by the time he was 2 months almost 3 he was wearing 3-6 & 6 months old clothes then by the 6 months mark he started wearing 9-12 & now that hes about to be 9 months he’s wearing 12-18 & in certain brands 18-24

My daughter is almost 3 months old and still in 0-3 clothes and will be for a little bit still. She was born 7 lbs 6 oz and 20 inches.

Ugh my son is 5 months old and is in the 92nd percentile for height. He is in 12-18 month pants. His 6 month onesies are snug. 😬

My son was 21 inches as well, but he was just over 7lbs when he was born. He wore 0-3 month clothes for about a month, then he moved up to 3-6 month clothes when he was around 2 months old. He moved into 6-9 month clothes when he was around 3 months. They grow like weeds in the beginning! My guy was in 24 month clothes by the time he was around 9 months, but then he slowed down significantly.

0-3 till 4 months old and currently in 3-6 at 5.5 months and they are very roomy probably won't need to go up a size till 7 months or so.

My son was 9lbs 1oz at birth. 10 months old now and only 19lbs and wearing 6-9m clothes. He can even fit in his 3-6m onesies. I would wait and buy most clothes as you need them
