Pumping??

Question

I absolutely hate pumping. I hate just sitting there holding the double pump and it seems so time consuming. Any tips from you pumping moms??? I feel like i should pump to give my nipples a break sometimes. Right now i supplement with formula if im not able to nurse.

If you dont have a pumping bra, id definitely invest in one

Pumping bra! Game changer! Still the same amount of time on the pump, but it is so much better. Take a nap, do a crossword puzzle, practice your jazz hands...so many options 😆

Get a hands free bra or make one. I used to eat lunch or a snack, drink water and watch tv while I was pumping.

Pumping bra is a must have. I actually enjoy my pump sessions. I read, scroll my phone, watch TV and have a snack. Invest in one!!!!! Life changing.

Hands free bra for sure! I would get
My hair/makeup to get ready for the day while pumping, and work on my computer etc. do something to occupy your time. I also felt more comfortable standing then sitting. So I would out my pump in the counter and I joy my hands with a task.

Couple of things, why do you feel your nipples would need a break, there shouldn’t be any discomfort with a proper latch? Secondly be very cautious of using formula as a supplement because if you don’t pump when baby eats you’ll notice a difference in your supply

Ugh. It was such a drag. I did it exclusively for 10 months. It was about 2-3 hours everyday. If you haven’t, definitely get/make a bra so you don’t have to hold the flanges. 
I didn’t buy a specific pumping bra, instead I got an old sports bra, cut a hole in each cup, and sewed around the edge to keep it from fraying. It did end up stretching due to use. To remedy that I would use binder clips to hold it tighter around the flange while in use. 
I know, I’m keeping it real classy over here 😁🙈😅😉

When I pump I use a hands free bra. I eat and drink. Also I make it time to decompress and not focus on anything. I watch YouTube scroll fb. Read glow comments. I make sure I am not focused on what I could be doing if I wasn't pumping but focused on clearing my mind for 15 min.
