My 29 month old is not potty trained. And she doesn’t appear ready at the moment. For toddlers potty trained after this age, when did you get your child potty trained?

My daughter had no interest either whatsoever. She would never tell me when she peed or pooped. I took the plunge last Thursday and decided to start. I placed her potty where we spend most of the day and kept her diaper off. We have had MANY accidents but that’s the only way they will learn. Now almost a week into potty training, she’s been doing so well. She gets excited and loves to flush the toilet lol. She tells me when she needs to pee and goes right to her toilet but we’re still working on the pooping. I put a diaper on a night because she still soaks through. If I start to notice dry diapers a night I will just stop using them in general. We haven’t gone anywhere in the meantime (except to grandmothers house) so while we are out and about should be interesting. 
I would say try it out for a day or two. If she shows no interest then I would  wait longer.

My daughter wasn’t really showing any signs either. I decided to just rip the band aid off and do it at 29 months. I made sure we had no commitments for five days. I got a shoe box and filled it with prizes I knew she would like ( temporary tattoos, mini horse figurines, stickers ). I got a little potty and shadowed her with it. I put her in underwear and a T-shirt no pants.  There were a lot of accidents. Every time she peed in the potty I made it a big deal with lots of praise , when she had an accident I wasn’t mad but sternly told her that pee goes in the potty . It took a little while but I’m very glad I did it because I had two in diapers .

We are still working on it but are almost there! It’s a lot of talking, reminding and LAUNDRY but she hates being wet. Poop is taking longer but we are almost there! It’s water at home than school because she doesn’t want to stop what she’s doing at school to go to the bathroom, but today there were no accidents!! Just be consistent

Go for it. It took us a month to really get it. He learned poop instantly and I still have to ask/remind him to go, especially when we aren’t at home.

My first never showed interest. One day she took her nappy off and peed in her potty at 2 years old. She picked it up and brought it outside to show me. Heard her yelling wees look wees 😂 she literally never wore a nappy again

We started in earnest around 2. My mom had bought my daughter underpants (grandma is a pusher 🙄) and my daughter fell in love with them after I let her try them on. She said they made her run fast. 🤷🏼‍♀️. She basically refused to wear diapers while she was awake after that, so we told her she had to use the potty to wear underpants. We started putting her on it every 30 min and watching for her cues. If she had fought us it would not have worked, but she was pretty into it. We had also been using the potty every night before bath time for a while. 
She still wears diapers for nights and naps. Not sure how we are going to conquer that because they are soaked when she wakes up.

My daughter was showing signs that she was ready. She would tell us afterwards that she peed or pooed in her diaper. She was also taking her diaper off and putting a fight when we had to put one one. We’re two weeks into no diaper and it’s been super interesting. I’m glad we did it as late as we did, because I know a lot of moms who did it right at 24 months and my lovey MIL made comments we were waiting too long. “[Potty training] isn’t that hard.” Waiting meant she had more vocabulary and more patience (as much as a 2 y/o can have).
