TTC 9 Months After?

Hi! So my scar on the outside has healed, and I have been doing good and feeling good so far. But what my doctor never made clear was how safe it was to have a baby less than a year after a csection? Im ttc baby #2. Also would I even count for a VBAC bc my csection experience SUCKED.

Mostly depends on the reasons you needed the Csection last time. VBAC’s are very possible so long as there isn’t something medically requiring Csec. Right now. Def worth asking your docs personal opinion.

Just spoke to my doctor about this last week. He recommended 18 months in between births, meaning it’s ok to start TTC after 9 months. He said they would support trying for a VBAC at that point since the reason for c section in my case was my baby being breech.

Hey! I conceived our second when our son was 11 months, we found out a day before his first bday! I’m now 22 weeks and my dr gave me the go ahead for a vbac! My first will be 20 months when I have the second!

I was reading the other day that if your baby will be born 18 months or less after your initial c-section, that a VBAC can be difficult/dangerous. So I’d think you’d likely have to have another c-section.

They say that you should wait one year to eighteen months. My cousin got pregnant before a year and she was considered high risk, and had a csection before her due date. Apparently there is more risk attempting a vbac when early like that. Not sure if every doctor does that or not, but speak to your doctor and see what they say. I had been told there is a high risk of uterine rupture, so I waited.

Usually for a vbac you would still be considered with no 2 depending on you r previous reasons on  having a c section ... and I have just popped a post up as I have had 5 previous c section mine all being close together fallen every 6 months so there is 15 months between 4 of my babies and 26 months between my 1st 2 no 5 baby was born via csection and he was out and I was stitched back up within 45 mins  I hope this helps x
