chanomile tea for 2 week old??

since yesterday my baby has been crying at the same time for no apparent reason.  ive tried burping her, changing her diaper, rocking her, and nothing works except more feeding...but it’s gotten to the point where i feel im overfeeding her...she might spend 45-60 mins breastfeeding and then i give her an additional 2 oz of formula...shes only 2 weeks old.  she does not spit up though...my mom thinks she has colic because her cry is intense and she suggested i give her a little bit of chamomile tea...she says she would give us that when we were babies...has anyone else tried it before on such a young baby??  any other ideas as to what my baby has?  is this normal behavior in newborns??  up until now she had been very peaceful and only cried when hungry

I wouldn't give the baby any tea. All it will do is fill their tummy up with zero actual nutrients- thus stopping them from eating, but not helping their actual hunger- tea will make it worse. If the baby is 2 weeks old it may be going through a growth spurt (cluster feeding) or most likely it's just that your babies digestive system is still developing. Mine cried like that for a few months, but over time after his digestive system is better developed (Google "the fourth trimester" and "cluster feeding") my little guy is fine now. Your baby is just new to the world (it could be that your baby is using you for comfort with nursing) and figuring the world out. As difficult as it is to hear them cry, it's a normal part of them growing. If you are truly concerned then call your pediatrician.

Chamomile is great but I wouldn’t recommend it for your baby without consulting a doctor first. However reading my bottle of gripe water there is a bit of chamomile in that. I suggest trying some gripe water first, and if it doesn’t get better speak to your doctor. My baby is a month old now and was/is similar, gripe water has been fantastic. 
Also maybe try going a day without breastfeeding and just using formula maybe baby isn’t getting enough milk from your breasts.

Mine did a very similar thing. He ate ALL the time during his growth spurts. My husband would come home and I would be in tears cause I just wanted to give my boobs a rest. I also couldn’t handle the cry when he was young so around 4 weeks I changed my diet (removed soy and dairy) and it did help him digest a little better until he was about 4-5 months old. 
There are also just days where they will just eat more. Like every 30 minutes more.  It’s exhausting and draining but just let them snuggle, eat, and get mama time ❤️
