Side sleeping

Lindsay

Okay, my little guy is struggling with self-soothing. He’s five and a half months and we were hit hard by the four month sleep regression. We’re currently in a zipadee zip with two wake-ups per night. The wake-ups happen because he has his fists in his mouth and eventually gets really pissed and vocal. As soon as you roll him to his side, he calms and goes right back to sleep. I know babies are ALWAYS supposed to be put to sleep on their backs but has anyone else experienced this? He is not rolling there on his own yet (but will do it on the play mat sometimes). I’ve started rolling and propping him on his side to calm him down. Then after about 10 minutes I put him back on his back. Just trying to find a way to drop these nighttime feedings and get this little guy to a comfy and efficient sleep zone!
