Heat making baby feed more?

I’m a FTM so I’m not sure if it’s normal or not, but my baby has been constantly feeding today! He’s 2 weeks old and is exclusively BF. With it being so hot today I’m wondering if that could be the cause or if he’s just not getting what he needs from me? I hope it’s not the latter 😢

Could be abit of both hun. My little girl 8months and she’s been wanting extra boob time today. But I’ve also been giving her water in sippy cup to as she old enough. But they do cluster feed when having a growth spurt.. 😊

Could be the heat or it could be a growth spurt or leap.
In the first few months spurts and leaps are pretty much constantly one after another.

Definitely, we need to drink more in the heat and so do babies. Make sure you’re staying super hydrated, and bear in mind that two weeks is prime cluster feeding time

First buy of feed is more watery and like a drink, so I think it's common for them to want little and often in the heat. That's what I've found with my baby anyway, he's four months old x

It could be a combination of thirst due to the heat and cluster feeding. When my son was newborn he was glued to my boobs for a whole day sometimes!
Like you, I thought maybe he wasn't getting enough milk so I called the breastfeeding helpline and they said not to worry, it's completely normal and my supply will always match what my baby needs as he will be sending signals to my supply. We carried on EBF and I still breastfeed him now at 11 months so your supply is a crazy clever thing!
