Gripe water ??

Anyone else’s baby choke every time you give them gripe water or anything from a syringe? I swear every time it sounds like he’s got fluid in his lungs after I give it to him and instead of helping I just make the issue worse

Oh no! Make sure you’re releasing it slowly & have the syringe pointing toward their cheek! My  little girl smacks and licks her lips, she loves it 😂❤️

I had the same issue! I now just mix it with milk and give it to her.

Oh so what is awesome is i use the dropper and fill a bottle nipple my baby sucks in it down in two sucks. Becareful otherwise they can get air but its the easiest i have found.

Make sure the syringe is pointed at the cheek! My baby threw up his medicine until I did it correctly

Yes, he would literally choke & cough whenever I used to put it in a syringe. (Regardless of how slow I released it) so I just put it into a bottle alone with a premie nipple or sometimes I’ll just mix it with his formula.

Use gas drops instead. Helps very similar to gripe water. I do gas drops if my little one is under 6 months old because you only have to give .3 ml instead of whatever you have to give for gripe water (don't remember but do remember it's less)

The nose Frida company makes a pacifier with syringe.  It's a lifesaver!  My baby doesnt even like pacifiers but for some reason likes it.  Genius product!
