What age was your newborn alert?

I have a 2 month old preemie that’s turning 3 months next week on the 5th. I feel like she should start being more awake and alert by now after feedings. I been seeing how 1 month olds are alert and like to play. How many months was your newborn alert?

My baby just turned 2 months and he’s been pretty alert since the first month. He loves tummy time and we started putting colored blocks around him so he can reach. He does his “baby talk” and whenever we call his name his looks at us. So I think he’s doing well. Every baby is different.

lil dude smiles and tries to eat daddy when he plays with him . he will be 2 months on the 12th . he knows his name and knows when im standing over his crib because he smiles everytime
