Anyone have success using maca as a fertility supplement? How long did you use it?

Me! I took 2500mg a day starting cd 1. Then after I know I ovulated I slowly dropped down to 1500mg by day 8. Peruvian women take it their whole pregnancy. You can stop it at any time though. Maca root  Is said to be a natural hormone stabilizer. So I recommend taking it until you have a positive test or if know you have progesterone issues(usually have a tww of 9 days or less) then I'd continue to take 2000mg a day. With my son I got pregnant with it on the first try. With my daughter I took it for two cycles because my first cycle was so irregular from having my son, I got pregnant the month after. I also suggest having your so to take it to up sperm quality 1500mg. Other than that its Tmi but giving yourself an orgasm after he finishes in you can definitely help too.

Maca did not work for us. We used it for over a year.

My doctor cautioned against using maca. He said some women with short luteal phases have reported positive things but this has never been proven in clinical trials. There have been a couple studies linked the use of maca to early miscarriage. He did specify that the studies had small sample sizes.

I just added Maca powder 2 weeks ago along with prenatals cause I’ve heard nothing but great things and know 2 people with success using it. I pray it works for us next 💕 Baby dust to all
