Over-supply and foremilk

So I have thought for several weeks now that I must have a bit of an oversupply. I have a forceful let down, and have to lean back to nurse, and little guy still gets choked up sometimes. However, I had not realized that might mean he is getting too much foremilk. His poops have been very watery and green over the past couple weeks. When I looked online and saw that may mean too much foremilk, the only solution I found was to just nurse from one breast, but he has always only nursed from one breast at a time. I just read a suggestion to pump an ounce or two before he nurses so that he gets a greater ratio of hindmilk. Has anyone else had this issue and found something that worked for them?
