Melatonin while breastfeeding?

Wondering if anyone has taken melatonin while breastfeeding.. I asked my OB today she said there aren't really any studies on it but I could try and see how baby does. So wondering if anyone has used melatonin and their babies were perfectly fine.

I’ve taken it a few times and it’s been fine. I donate my milk to the children’s hospital, so I’m not allowed to donate for 72 hours after taking it, because obviously it could be bad for preemie babies. 
Benadryl made my baby so tired and tanked my milk supply. Sadly she was fussy because she was hungry or asleep for the better part of 2 days 😢
