Has your doctor ever swabbed your anus when pregnant for any reason?

One of my friends posted on Facebook, “Them asshole swabs when your pregnant though” 
I don’t remember if they did it for my first pregnancy but I don’t think so?

you get it towards the end, it’s normally if you think that’s the weirdest thing you have to deal with wait till you have to poop after giving birth especially with tearing 😂

You get one around 36+ weeks to test for Group B Strep. It swabs the skin between your vagina and anus, and they stick it in your anus for just a second. It’s really not bad at all.

Apparently I blocked this out because I do not remember this with my first pregnancy at all 😂. I know I was tested for GBS though.

I answered yes but I did my gbs swab myself. They gave me a swab and a container and I went into the bathroom. Just a gentle swab of the vagina and booty- no big deal.

It’s the gbs swab. I get it around 37 weeks and I do it myself. You insert a very long qtip like thing in your vagina and around your anus. Very simple
